SWIMMING POINTER

Banner

Okinawa is located at the south end of Japan. Although it is a very popular vacation resort place for Japanese people, not many people knew of DFS Galleria’s existence. Hibiscus flower that appear in the banner is known as a symbol of Okinawa.

The objective is to maximize the minutes they stay on the banner. The longer they stay, the clearer they remember about DFS GALLERIA in Okinawa (though unconsciously). The banner effectively connects the joy of relaxing in a resort place and the image of DFS GALLERIA OKINAWA.

When a user places the mouse on the screen, pointer jumps into the sea. The movement of the pointer becomes slower due to the water resistance. Fish are surprised by the swimming pointer and try to swim away from it while some fish cannot resist the curiosity and come closer to the pointer. The banner is created to encourage the visitors to stay longer by embedding various tricks such as fish shaping letters.
